Mills tells us of the outdoor life, the animals he meets and some of the interesting things that he has found out with Nature. He climbs up the mountain with his dog Scotch during a storm. He follows birds in the forest. He watches beavers making their home in a lake. He travels alone during the winter to take snow measurements and survives a snowslide.
